Save money, reduce waste and plant a tree!

Everyone is concerned about climate change, and people want to do what they can to reduce their carbon footprint. If you’re taking steps to conserve energy in your household, don’t forget to include the kids. They are the future, and it is so important to include them in your plans.

Simply stated, when we use energy in our homes, we are releasing carbon emissions into the atmosphere. When we plant a tree, the tree is absorbing those emissions.

Therefore, each small change that you make in your home is the equivalent of planting a tree–or many trees.  This chart also indicates annual dollar savings, waste reduction, and carbon emissions.
